The Initiative offers professional workshops designed to inspire, challenge, and educate dancers in a supportive and inclusive environment. Our faculty brings a wide range of professional performance, teaching, and choreographic experience, creating opportunities for dancers of all backgrounds to grow both technically and artistically.
Whether you're interested in a master class, guest choreography, or a full-day intensive, we customize each experience to meet the needs of your dancers and studio community.

Our workshops are designed for dancers of all levels and backgrounds. We strive to create welcoming, supportive spaces where every participant feels encouraged to take risks, build confidence, and develop both their artistry and technical skills.
Professional & Experienced Faculty
Led by experienced educators, performers, and choreographers, our faculty provides high-quality training rooted in both artistic excellence and real-world industry experience. Through thoughtful instruction and mentorship, dancers of all ages and experience levels are challenged, inspired, and supported throughout their training.
The Initiative brings together artists from a variety of backgrounds, training experiences, and communities across the United States. We believe that diverse perspectives strengthen the creative process and foster a richer learning environment for every dancer.
Diverse Perspectives
Every workshop we host is designed with intention, from the environment we create to the structure and flow of each class. Our goal is for every dancer to leave feeling challenged, inspired, and more confident in their artistry and movement.
Our workshops offer a diverse range of training experiences, including Modern, Contemporary, Partnering, Improvisation, and Prop Work. Through these classes, dancers are encouraged to expand their technical abilities, explore creativity, and develop a deeper understanding of movement.

Each event we host the cost ranges from $450 - $700. Pricing is based on multiple factors: amount of teachers, photography, traveling & length of workshop.

The faculty is discussed & chosen by the studio faculty & Isaac Knuteson. We offer the ability to have all in person faculty, or we offer zoom options for company members who are in another state.
